CASE STUDY: PUSH ADS - RICH ADS - SWEEPSTAKES

Case Study: Sweepstakes Offers on Push Traffic - Rich Ads

Welcome to the Rich Ads Case study where I am running a testing Sweepstakes style offers in the USA

Total testing budget was $250 with the goal of creating at least 1 profitable day during the testing phase. In part 2 I explain why I called it quits on combining Sweepstakes with Push ad networks

Please see all details below and feel free to post your comments below.

The first test produced poor results.

I ended up spending roughly $68.42 for only $4 in revenue.

However I am able to see some data that will allow me to restructure this campaign so I have a better chance of getting results in round 2.

Here is what I have discovered so far:

DESKTOP VS MOBILE

I split the spend roughly between 2 campaigns. Desktop produced 0 conversions vs mobile which had 2 conversions.

SUB LIST ID

Too soon to tell except one sub list id (6820) did end up eating alot of my budget on both campaigns so I will pause that for next test.

LANDING PAGE

I tested 4 landing pages.

Landing page 1 and 4 had the highest CTR so I will be using those in the next test, scrapping the other 2, and I will test 1 new page.

All of these landers will be shown in the next video or at least the winning one!

OFFER

The Drone offer itself was a clear fail.

I believe this had the most impact on my failure during this first test phase. I have since taken the advice of my ad rep at Rich Ads and decided to switch the offer to a free Iphone 12 Offer.

She recommends targetting Android users but I am not sure of this quite yet.

So the next test will be mobile only, and testing between android as well as Iphone.

ADS

Not much to go on really with the ad style yet. The CTR is similar accross the board and only 2 conversions.

PART 2 - HERE IS WHY I WON'T RUN SWEEPS ON PUSH...

In this part I describe why I think combining push ads with sweepstakes is a failure waiting to happen. I have nothing against push ads platforms and sweepstakes offers on their own, but when you try and combine them it is a failing business model and in this video I try to explain that.  Keep in mind this doesn't mean if you own your own push subscriber list that you cannot monetize it with sweepstakes offers. It is more aimed at push ad networks who have tons of different marketers all smashing the same lists with offers.

  1. hey, i have a push course for sweeps, and it was very very successful why are you saying this, you just tryied one or two compaings

  2. I made these comments to based on hundreds of thousands in spend on push ads, as well as direct conversations with the offer owners themselves. This is why you are seeing dropping payouts. (which makes those types offers hard to scale long term on push).

  3. Definitely seeing some crap traffic from push.

Some of the sweepstake offers won’t even run they said it’s a trademark and rejected the campaign.
And the trademark was actually on the offer page and I can’t really change the offer page lol.

I check the stats on the tracker a lot of clicks came from the same ip. And the setting was only showing 1 time per 24hour.

They give me a whitelist to test and I’m only getting like 100 clicks a day lol its only spending like 2 dollars a day.

So most of the other crap on RON setting is all crap basically.

You sound pissed off for wasting 250 fat ones, reasonably so, I was told as a beginner to do some sweepstakes on push lol… I don’t think I will try something else now… I am just learning the process….. any recommendations?
