I want to start testing more Youtube Ads and was wondering if anyone has a proven layout or format that use for sending traffic to a VSL style offer?
This makes sense. Thanks! I have been looking into VidTao and joined their newsletter which is really informative. I am seeing a lot of YouTubers talk about making a ton of money running Clickbank VSL-style offers on youtube ads and was wondering if this is an avenue worth exploring. No expert but if you're running skippable in steam, you'll save a lot of money by very clearly calling out the audience/pain point right at the start of the script (so non relevant people will just instantly skip)
If running to a vsl I notice a lot of ads will run 2-3 mins (longer ad than you'd think) - I guess this is to warm people up for sitting in front of sone lengthy vsl
That's very helpful Stuart. I assume UK works well especially since UK has such a good response to diet offers. So I do have a kind of insight into this, as a side hustle a make videos for people on fiverr - and seem to have accidentally created a niche for myself of making exactly these kinds of video.
I have a number of repeat clients, who from chatting to them seem to know what they're talking about, so I can only assume that they are working for them!
Some of the features of the videos I make for them:
1. The ALL use the same UK British AI voice (a number of clients insist on this, so they must have split tested accents)
2. The videos I am make are ALL using B Roll footage with text overlays of the script (I use invideo, you could do the same with pictory) - so these are not big budget videos at all
3. Again the clients that are repeat ALL insist on using a simple white text box with black text, no highlight colours and that the font size is the same on each scene (not matter how much text is shown)
4. The scripts all start with variants of things like "If you're fed up of crazy exercise routines and fad diets and still aren't losing weight, then you need to watch this..."
5. The videos are usually 2-3 minutes long - and script wise are a cut down version of the VSL (ie the mention all the same key points, in the same order BUT in a much more concise way, and adapted for compliance removing trigger words - so for examples 'diabetes' becomes 'controlling blood sugar' etc) - as Joey suggests, this can be achieved with AI tools quite easily
6. About 40-45 seconds in there will be a CTA to watch a free video, this will be repeated towards the end of the video and the final scene will be a countdown timer + CTA and a 'watch now before it expires' type message
7. These repeat clients say that they also run these videos on the display network and well as youtube
Hope that helps!
Cheers Stu

I was doing this, running health maxweb offers on YT. It was going decent until I got banned for circumventing systems. I'm exactly sure why I got banned, but I tried to appeal with no luck. One of my ads got disapproved so I made changes and variations to it. I suspect this was the reason. This makes sense. Thanks! Great Ideas Joel...I never thought to ask Chat GPT about ad compliance!@steve_goldberg try and create a subaccount NOT new account. i was hit with the same thing, 2 things i would do if i where you. 1 in the description box when creating an AD put something very generic as this part is only for google display and your going to want to block this also on the Placement exclusion. First line required Write something like Get Started Now- you can write on both lines. in the description write something generic like- Helping People See Better Naturally.
You probably created an add like normal and it triggers your, not to say they wont review your video eventually, i got my ad smacked after running for about month for click bate, but i created a new ad by rewriting with chatgbt 4
first i took the whole entire article and asked .is this video within google compliance: {YOUR ARTICLE HERE}
Then i would see what chat responded back to you. here is mine for an example--The statement contains claims about a method that can improve eyesight naturally without glasses, contacts, or surgery. The claims are made by an eye specialist with over 37 years of experience who has helped more than 110,000 individuals achieve nearly perfect 20/20 vision. The statement also includes testimonials from individuals who have used this method to improve their vision. It is unclear if the claims and testimonials are backed by scientific evidence, and the statement includes language that may create a sense of urgency or pressure to take immediate action. It is recommended to review Google's advertising policies to ensure compliance.
So i went back and grouped each section asking CHAT -rewrite this youtube video to google compliance policy: SECTION HERE.
i would go paragraph by paragraph, at the end go back and ask CHAT again if its compliant. I wouldnt let her spin whole article as whole at first as she writes really plane. go section by section to rewrite hope this helps.
Last thing block mobile apps and Display you can always go back and test that.
its in tools placement exclusion list. add to camps
